Anight Mamee

Last week I surprised my parents. I'm beginning to sleep on my own. I mean on my own territory. I make Mamee open up the mattress and lay it on the floor and I love being tucked in with my toys. I'd say "Anight, Mamee" and she dims the light. I'd lull myself to sleep and end up sleeping on my own. I would wake up around 5 or 6 in the morning to get cosy with my parents. I feel I need to be independent now and my parents think I'm ready for my own room. I think I'm ready too. I hope it's spacious enough for me to play, my toys are all in and I want a wardrobe with all my pretty clothes.

I will update you more later.

Shingles

Mamee said I caught the shingles. It wasn't noticeable until Friday evening. They itch sometimes and hurts when I touch them. I had it on my left-side: tummy to my back. Lucky it just stayed on my left. It's rare for kids my age to get it but yes, if someone had chicken pox or shingles, anyone can get it despite age. Lucky I'm a kid and it doesn't bother me that much. If you're older, it will hurt you. I hope my grandma or grandpa won't get it from me. They're too old for this and it will be very painful for them.

My parents took me to see the paediatrician last Saturday and she gave me medications. One was really sweet but hard for me to swallow. I hate medicine! The one was cream to apply on my affected skin. There goes my super clear skin. I'm scarred for life at 2 1/2 years old. Lucky last year when I had the chicken pox, no scars left. I turned 1 that time.

My Nenek KL has been here since Saturday night. She flew here the same my parents told her the news. She had her own remedies too and today my scars have practically healed. She'll be leaving this Saturday and I'm going to miss her.

Gifts! Gifts! Gifts!

Daddy's birthday is on Christmas Eve and that's not too long from now. Mummy and I have only about 3 weeks to get a gift for him. With the limited time that we have, Mummy has only in mind the Bass Pro Gift Card, the perfect birthday gift to give our favorite outdoor enthusiast who has everything. This site is so useful that they have listed gifts recommendations for every occasion. All we have to do is choose the brand and product. Now we don't have to worry about Daddy's birthday gift and having said that, we don't also have to worry about Christmas gifts for Grandma, Uncle Constan and Auntie Teena.

The best thing is I'm not left out. I get to have a gift too as there is a section for kids like me. I can't make up my mind because there's so many stuffs there that I like. I wonder if Mummy can afford to get all of it for me but I doubt it. I'm crossing my fingers though, with all the gift cards available, I'm sure my Mummy can't resist even a Best Buy Blue $100 Gift Card! She's going to take advantage of the Cyber Monday deals at GiftCardMall.com with one of the top selling gift cards in the outdoor category, the Bass Pro Gift Card and hopefully something from the toy section.

So when Mummy finally has set what we need for our loved ones, we're definitely choosing First Class Mail because it's free shipping. I'm sure by the time we received our gift cards, Mummy can't wait to activate them. My Mummy is the ultimate shopaholic if you didn't already know that. Oh, I'm just as excited as Mummy. If you haven't a clue what to get for your loved ones for Christmas, send a virtual E-Gift Card at GiftCardMall.com. You'll benefit fromt he added convenience of purchasing gift cards online anywhere, anytime with the gift delivered within hours to your loved ones' email.

Mummy and I also plan to capture Daddy's memories by including his best "catch" this year. You can too by rewarding your friends and family with a personalized photo card to Bass Pro Shops available on GiftCardMall.com. So, what are you waiting for? Join us now!

D for Daddy!

It's December and Mamee said, it's going to be Dadee's birthday soon! She hopes she gets that perfect gift because somehow it's pretty hard to please Dadee or maybe that's what she thinks. My Dadee's a simple guy. He wouldn't asked for too much. Even right now, he's busy on the PC. When Dadee's stuck to the PC, he's working. Even late at night. My Dadee's working very hard but I love it that he spends more time with us now than before.

What can I give my Dadee for his birthday? I wonder if Mamee can buy them for me and I'll pay her back when I earn my own pocket money. Oh, Dadee! Would you like one of my toys? I have loadsa toys and you see it everyday when you return home from work. It's all over the carpet in the TV area and Mamee picks them up every night or morning. Dadee, no matter how much mess I make, I know you love me so because I love you so.

Lazy Sunday

Happy lazy Sunday, everyone. This morning Mamee surprised Dadee & me with a lovely American breakfast: chicken sausages, turkey bacon, eggs, beans (??) and salad. Beans? Thought that comes on an English breakfast? I only had sausages and eggs because earlier I had my dose of milk and koko krunch. I am watching my favorite cartoons on Playhouse Disney right now.

Later we're going to send off Nenda to the airport because she's going to be invigilating exam in Tawau. Nenda's going to be in Tawau for a week. I'm going to miss her. Lucky Mamee's night duty is only on Friday. The best thing is she's going to take day off tomorrow. Yippie I get to stay homewith Mamee!

Oh yes, I made friends with Little Renee yesterday. Mamee had to work and Dadee took me to the printers. Little Renee is there everyday except Sundays because her family run the business. Little Renee is a year younger than me but look how chubby she is compared to me. She's so cute!

So we played and ate together at the nearby kopitiam. I like Little Renee. I hope we can playdate again.

12 November

Today's 12th of November. I am 2 years & 5 mths. My updates:

I have gained back my 12kgs and I now stand at 89cm. That's what my Mamee measured since I couldn't keep still. I have gained more vocabularies. I have constructed sentences. Not as good yet but I'm getting there. I can ride my little car - well, I just had to move my legs a lot plus manoeuvre them with the steer wheels. I know my ABCs eventhough if Mamee have to sing them out first and I continue when she stops. The same goes with my nursery rhymes: My fave at the mo is Itsy Bitsy Spider. I can do the spider going up the water spout with my fingers. I'm still working on my numbers although I've counted 1-10 before. I'm back to 1-5. I memorised almost all of Playhouse Disney's cartoons. Thanks to Astro for the re-runs. I eat on my own and yes, I eat more now. I'm chubby now and I think my parents are beginning to get worried if I ever got over-weight. Now who said I was a picky eater? I still very much love to dance and Mamee is planning to send me to ballet school when I'm ready. Apart from that my hair has grown wavy and longer. More updates later in my entries to come. Stay tune! That's me and Dadee during the weekend sitting outside our little porch eating watermelon. Yummy!

Me Chubby?

Hehehe. I think I am chubby - a little that is. This evening Mamee picked me from playschool and chatted with one of my mate's mommy. His mommy told my Mamee that I am chubby now. Everytime she sees me at playschool, I'll be busy munching away. Oh no, there goes my secret.

I just had dinner and as usual Mamee wants the best for me. She grated carrots & spinach and dumped it all in my noodle soup. It was more of a vegetarian noodle soup. It was yummy and I finished every bit of my tiny tummy portion. All Mamee did was this:

Fried garlic & chicken stock, poured in water and spaghetti and then water's boiling, she dumped in the grated carrots and spinach.

Hurray for Sesame Street

40th Anniversary of Sesame Street

Hurray for Sesame Street! They've reached their 40th anniversary this week and I must say that my favorite SS Muppets characters are definitely Bert & Ernie, Grover and Elmo (I have an Elmo doll!). The Muppets was created by the late Jim Henson. I hope to one day meet my favorite Muppets and snapped loads of pictures with them. My Mamee took this picture from Google. Have fun with the activities on Sesame Street website!

Go Away Bug

Bug's got into me again. Mamee caught the bug too. A lot has happened in October and I don't know where to start now that it's already November. My parents has taken the initiative of taking me to the lake on the weekends or when Mamee gets to go off early from work. It's nice to walk and see big people around me walking or jogging. I'm forever excited looking and enjoying nature. I must have taken this liking from my Dadee. Dadee loves nature and loves to take pictures too.

This month my friend, Yusuff will be back from London. I can't wait to see him. His family is moving to Brunei and Mamee says we'll be going to Brunei to visit them.

Stay tuned to this blog of mine for more updates!

Sing, Sing, Sing

Has it been more than a week since my last entry? Well, I've been busy. I'm adjusting myself to playschool level 2. Together with 2 other friends from level 1, we have new friends now. No more babies around and looks like we're the babies now. Everyone's so bigger and my loud voice isn't ready to be shown off. Well, not just yet.

Last night Mamee and Dadee discovered that I already know my ABCs and nursery rhymes. Mamee sang and I end every verse. Boy, were they proud of me. I don't bother to show off and I only wait till I'm ready to disclose my abilities. I'm a Gemini. Below are pictures what I've been up to:

I continue to mess up the living room area,

I have a weird fashion sense,

I love ice cream and I guess that's why I'm coughing and

I love it that on weekends I get to have for breakfast: roti pratha with Nussfit!

I'm Feeling Much Better!

Yes, today I feel much better. I have started being the demanding me but last night I was being moody. The heat was too much and I couldn't bear it. This morning I cried when I was given my medicine - yucky! The medicine however made me stop vomiting. I had noodles for breakfast but that came out of my system almost immediately. I had Nesquick and that went out too. Both are my favorite weekend breakfast! After medication, my hunger pangs once again is up and Mamee prepared me a mid morning snack: hard boiled eggs, cheese with bread. A wholesome snack I must. Proteins from the eggs, dairy from cheese and grains from bread. Oh, I had english white bread. Dadee bought the wrong bread.

Burp! Yum, Yum!

Oh, that was a lovely dinner my Mamee made. It was chicken soup with glass noodles. The glass noodles are made of sweet potatoes. She bought it from Giant. Glass noodles always makes me in the mood to eat because I love noodles.

Any kind of noodle is what I love especially when I have a fever. Got the bug this morning. Darn but it didn't spoil my day. I had a short nap and that was good to continue my daily dose of Playhouse Disney. I get to skip playschool today and Mamee get to skip work. Yay!

Of course, apart from noodles I also love pasta. ABC pasta, animal shaped pasta, car shaped and sponge bob. Thanks to Aunt Sam for stocking us with pastas. You can find them in KK. It's just too bad. I love cream cheese with bread stix too. That's me in the car with my ball enjoying them.

The other night Mamee made tofu soup and that was yummy too. I don't really fancy pasta with tomato sauce. I also don't like round fruits like blueberries or grapes although i love feeling hoe round they are. I don't like the taste but Mamee thinks I will outgrow it and will love one day like she and Dadee loves it.

My parents these days cooked a lot at home. The kitchen and dining room is convenient now, now that it's downstairs. I wander when Mamee will let me help her in the kitchen?

Oh yes, on another note. I'm wearing training pants now. Hate them! Mamee ordered them from Jshoppers.com. I'm not ready for the potty yet but Mamee is trying her best to gain my interest. She even bought me a book on potty rhymes and songs.

Pool Pool Pool!

I used to hate water but now I love water. I love having baths in my little bath tub and Mamee lets me enjoy my bath while she showers. I like to pretend that I'm in a jacuzzi and when it's time to dry up, I let Mamee force me out of the bath tub. Yesterday for the first time after a few visits, I was enjoying the pool with my rubber duckie and sat and waddle in my pool patrol. I wished I could play longer in the pool but it was getting cold and my parents forced me out. I cried and they promised to take me to the playground. They didn't but today I played on all the toys at Toys'R' Us. My Mamee got me a few stuff and we went off to the supermarket for groceries. I slept on the way home.

Last Kid Eating

We had an early morning today. We had breakfast at Kah Hiong. My parents are beef noodles lovers and I am myself too. We rarely eat red meat at home so at least once a month we indulge ourselves. Oh, did I mention I got the sniffles? Yup, caught it yesterday and open houses today are cancelled in our agenda. We got two invitations but my parents don't want me to spread my sniffles so we're staying home or just staing away from open houses. It must have been the sniffles or it's the yummmy beef noodles. I was the last kid eating my noodles and soup. Yummy!!!!

Playground

It's the second day of Syawal. You must be wondering why we have not had our open house or gone to any. Firstly, most of my parents' friends are back in their kampungs so we're waiting for them to come back. That is, of course, if they want to repeat the tiresome cooking last week when we had friends over for iftar. Another reason is because my parents are avoiding crowded places. You know how it is with open houses. We didn't even go back to Weston this year. Nenek wasn't keen too. So what have done today? We had breakfast at Promendae in the morning and lunch at home. Dinner's ready but everybody's just tired now. We went to the nearby playground. My parents wanted to sweat it out so we walked a whole round of the pond. Dadee thought I was tireed but no, I went the whole round too. Because of my strength, Dadee let me join the other kids play on the slides and see-SAW. iT WAS FUN! i'M SUPPOSED TO BE HAVING MY BATH NOW BUT i INSIST i WATCH POCOYO FIRST.

Syawal Is Here

Finally, Syawal is here. I woke up at 630am today. Now that made my mamee happy coz it's not everyday that i wake up lambat. I'm an early bird. I was born at 8:09am so that explains it. They say early birds gets the early worms but of course I don't eat worms. I try to catch the earliest cartoon. Lucky i don't eat worm.

We had breakfast but as usual I rather have my cookies crips while watching my fave cartoons. None of us went to the Raya Prayers this morning. Until the h1N1 pandemic is still around, we're staying home. Nenda was with us too. Raya foods included rendang meat, chicken in satay sauce, nasi impit and lemang. All cooked by my Mamee. What I had? Animal shaped pasta - yummy!! I spent the whole day with Nenda while Mamee goes to work. Poor Mamee had to work but luckily only 3 hours.

It's raining all evening and I'm watching second round of Dora the Explorer on dvd. Astro's service is low when it rains.

Selamat Hari Raya my dear friends!

Ramadan Gone

Looks like it's the end of waking up in the wee early morning for my parents and Nenek. I can't promise I'll wake up a little later. I mean, a toddler's sleeping pattern is forever changing. I can't be bothered with all the happenings. I know I have discovered the other half of my birthday presents Dadee hid from me for the last 3 months. I have discovered that I actually have a doll house and I love it to bits - well, for now that is. Tomorrow is a big celebration after a month long of fasting for my family and many others. For us kiddies all we gotta do is dress up & collect duit Raya!!!! That's money and money but I still prefer toys....Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri all!!!

Go Wireless

Do you wonder how I am always able to blog no matter where I am? Thanks to my Daddy who is tech-savvy enough to get us a wireless router. Now where ever I am, in the bedroom, tv area, the kitchen or the dining room, I am able to connect to the Internet. I am able to browse on the Internet and even make an entry blog about my happenings or activity at home or out.

Our lives now are easy and comfortable. Those days my Mummy and Daddy had to take turns using the PC. Other times there would be little arguments when one of them were using the PC too long or when one of them had work to do on the PC. It's just funny how a PC can caused a fuss, huh? It's been a year now that we have this cable-less connection. Even while I sleep, Mummy is able to lie beside me and do her browsing on her laptop or even on her smartphone.

You should get one for your home or office. Daddy got one for home because he works from home. It's so convenient, affordable but most importantly it is super fast, thanks to broadband. You can also set your passwords so that neighbours or whoever passes by our house can't get connected or steal information. Go check it out now and don't miss the opportunity. Go wireless now!

Fried Noodles

I love noodles & I'm enjoying it now. Dadee bought it for me while Mamee went to do her little shopping at our local grocery shop. Mamee has a new toy. Dadee bought it for her last night. She was so excited. Anyway, you must be thinking it's Monday why aren't my parents working? Well it's Mamee's day off and Dadee has a 10am meeting. It's actually my 27-month check up at the clinic. I'm healthy weighing at 11kgs & 84cm. No injections, thank god! But something is awaiting me tonight. I have to down 10ml of worm medicine. Yuck!!! That's me at the clinic feasting my eyes on goldfishes.

It's Sunday!

Remember yesterday when I didn't take my afternoon nap? Well, I had my nap late in the evening and woke up after 6pm. I was so moody. Mamee offered me her hot dog and I rejected it. I almost wanted to have a bite but I remembered I was in a moody mode. So there I started me wanting to go down to watch Mickey Mouse and Mamee took me down. She fixed me dinner: rice with steamed fish and spinach soup. Yummy! Now that's the way to my heart is through good food. Nutritious! Speaking about heart. Just 2 days ago Mamee taught me where my heart was and how it sounded. Did you know that our heart is the size of our fist? My Mamee taught me that. Today I showed off to Dadee and he was impressed.

This morning I had Koko Krunch for breakfast and that took Mamee ages to figure out what I wanted. Of course I had my daily dose of Vitagen. Looks my parents will have to buy more. There's 1 more left in the refridgerator. It's almost 1pm and I'm still wide awake. I just had lunch and boy, ABC pasta cannot be rejected. My lunch was yummy and Mamee cooked it together with chicken and spinach. Another nutritious meal for the day.

All gone!

Saturday Is Here!

It's the weekend again! Today I woke up as early as 5am. I watched Sesame Street and drank my milk. By 7am I still wasn't sleepy and I had my breakfast: Jacobs chocolate biscuits and hard-boiled egg. The thing I love most about hard-boiled eggs are the egg white. I don't like the yolk but if Mamee made egg soup, I just eat everything.
By noon, it was lunch time and Nenda fed me rice with spinach soup and another hard-boiled eggs. You see how I love eggs? I had dragon fruits and by the Mamee got home, I still wasn't sleepy. Mamee gave me another biscuit for snack and pears but I was too full and rejected the pears. I love pears but not today.

Before The Night Ends

As this entry is written, I have been asleep for the past one hour. Remember the buttered noodles my Mamee made me? It looked yucky so I didn't have some. My Mamee was a little disappointed but she didn't give up. She made a mini fruit snack. Well, papayas, strawberries and grapes minus yoghurt for dipping. I ate strawberries but they were sour. Too bad but the papayas were nice and sweet and I had a lot of them. Grapes are yucky for now.
Evening snack was Pepperidge Farm Goldfish in Colours. Yummy! I love anything with cheese and this snack is cheddar cheese in fish shape. I love the colours. Because the package made it difficult but fun for me to dg in and find out what colour fish I got, Mamee poured some in a little container. I really indulged myself. Check out this website!

You think my day was over with food? Not yet. For dinner, Mamee prepared chicken soup with rice noodles with loads of veggies in it, fried mexican chicken wings and eggs with onions. I had the chicken soup with rice noodles - 3 rounds of it. Yummy! But wait. Before the main meal, I had dessert - strawberries dipped in nutella sandwich. Can you believe to the extent my Mamee would do to make me eat? She really knows how to grab my attention with food. I know how picky I am with food but I hope this has got nothing to do with my check up on the 14th. Did I mentioned i was 12kg when Mamee and I were in KL last July. It was amazing - gained 2kgs in 2 weeks, but I got sick last month so i dropped 1kg. So as I was saying chocolaty taste of nutella is incredible. I hope Mamee gives me some more next meal time.

Another Day

Today my Mamee is on another Day Off. I love Mamee's job. In fact, I love Dadee's job too because he spends most of the time at home working. Cool, huh? Anyway, my day started as early as 4am this morning. My parents had their sahur and Nenda kept me company watching Barnee and friends. I had my milk. My parents went to sleep and I watched cartoon until my eyes couldn't take it anymore. 7am I was back in dreamland. Initially I was cranky and Nenda sent me back to the bedroom. I just woke up an hour ago and Mamee made me Grilled Sandwiches. Yummy!

She's making me buttered noodles with chicken nuggets and mixed vegetables now for lunch. Yummy!!! I love noodles, do you?
