Sleep On My Own

I can sleep on my own now but not in my own bed. I need Mamee's warmth to dose off. Every night she'll feed and rock me to sleep. It's such a nice feeling. When I'm finally asleep that's when my little body automatically wants to be laid down on the bed.

Last night Mamee tried putting me into my baby bed but it took me ten minutes to wake up again. I couldn't smell Mamee and I felt insecure. So I cried till she picks me up again. She did it a few times and I ended up sleeping with my parents as usual.

Yummy Baby

This blog is today officially named Yummy Baby. My Mamee's blog is Yummy Mummy and so my blog should now be Yummy Baby. It suits me since I am one Yummy Baby. Don't you think so. Mamee's colleague said I looked like a baby doll. That sounds really like a sweet compliment. Mamee and Dadee are so proud of me. Not just for how Yummy Baby I am but my growth developments are impressive. Of course I'm growing taller but I'm on the slimmer side. I guess I got that from Mamee. Well, my Mamee used to be slim but after she had me, she still has fats to lose. Mamee's still breastfeeding me. That's why she's still on the plump side. Hehehe.

Sensitive Skin

My skin is very sensitive. A little mosquitoe bite will make the affected area swell. Perhaps all babies are like that, huh? I hate it. They're so itchy and sometimes I get irritated during my sleep. Luckily, Mamee has Buds Baby First Aid Lotion on standby. It makes the itch go away. Mamee usually applies Buds Baby MozziClear Lotion on my legs and arms. I guess she missed my neck and forehead. Stupid mosquitoes. Leave me alone, please!

Back In Daycare

I'm back in daycare. I was already there yesterday. Mamee and Dadee was busy and Nenda was not around to care for me. She's in KL taking care of Uncle Constan. He had a surgery recently. He had appendicitis. Poor Uncle Constan. He thought he had food poisoning. I hope Uncle Constan will recover soon. I have recovered from my fever too. I am still caught with the flu and cough. I hate taking my medications. They taste awful!!!

It was boring with no friends around but today my friends are with me. Well, we have our babytalk that only we understand. It looks as though we're lying down on our backs or tummies mumbling. We're actually communicatiing with each other.

I've Been Sick

Hello, I bet you all missed me. (wink, wink) I've been sick. First I had the fever. It was very high. I got my Mamee and Dadee worried sick. They kept on driving me in and out of Dr. Suzain's clinic. I like Dr. Suzain. She's nice. I think she's the nicest doctor. She loves my eyes and she's said that despite being feverish, I was very active. She said I was teething. That explains my fever and my sweeling gums. I don't like to bite on the teething ring my Mamee gave me. I rather shake it because the water in it excites me. Then I got the cough and flu. It must be the season. I hate my medication too. I know what is a syringe now and my parents can't trick anymore especially with antibiotics. They're yucky! I'll defintely cry and cry if I'm forced to indulge these yucky medications. I also hate to be sponge bath every time my temperature rise. Ah, so much for breastmilk. I'm going for another suckling. Laterrrrr...

I'm Anti-social

Last Saturday my parents took me to a birthday party. It was at night and it was bedtime for me and I was dragged along to the party. It was Mamee's boss's son's 21st birthday. It was drizzling and we had to use the umbrella to walk over to the house. I was a bit drowsy. Well, I was sleeping and I planned to continue but the darkness caught my attention. I have never slept in total darkness before. As we were nearing the house, it was bright and now I can see everyone. They were all looking at me. One old lady carried me instantly the moment Mamee and Dadee reached the house. Oh how I cried and cried. I just wanted to be with Mamee and Dadee. In the house more ladies wanted to carry me. I cried and cried again and my tears filled my little face. My nostrils were filled with flu and I screamed and screamed. I was so being anti-social. It's not the usual me and I guess I was just too sleepy! The cake was funny. It was the shape of a key. It was pink and the birthday boy wasn't bothered by it. Hehehe.

No Water!

Yesterday I had a quick wipe not bath. In the morning, my Mamee would give a Buffalo bath she calls it but this was far from it. It was more like a sponge bath. Nenda wiped me everywhere. Hehehe. Actually I enjoyed it because I don't have to get in water. I like to get out of the bath but I don't know how to enjoy getting in the baby tub yet. I don't cry anymore. I just can't wait for the bath to end. Once I'm out, I'll be smiling away. In the evening I didn't have a bath too. Mamee just wiped me with a wet towel. This morning was the usual. I had my buffalo bath and today I sat in the little pail my Mamee put me in. It was kind of nice. I like the feeling. I was curious. I got myself soaked in the warm water and Mamee laughed. Too bad we were in the bathroom and Dadee wasn't around to snap the funny incident!

Note: The phrase Buffalo bath is a from a Malay expression, Mandi Kerbau. More like a quick shower/bath and not considered a proper shower/bath.

I Love Carrots!

The last time Mamee fed me carrots, I hated them. Yucky...but last night, carrots tasted so good. Yummy! I love carrots now. I had a lot of them last night. I guess I was hungry but carrots are definitely good for me. This morning I pooped carrots out. My poo was orange in colour just like carrots. Hehehe. Carrots, anyone? I wonder what's the menu for tonight.

I'm 7 months now

Hey, I just turned 7 months yesterday. Mamee got me a nice top & headwraps to match. Something new about me. My poop smells nicer now. Well, that's what Mamee said. It's greenish and sticky and Mamee had some on her hands today. Hahahaha. She had to wash her hands with soap to get my nice poopy smell off her hands. I think I'm enjoying food better now. I'd open my mouth and Mamee would feed me food. If Mamee is late, I'd scream and have Mamee rushed some food into my little mouth. I eat sitting in my Bumbo seat and I have a rubber mat with alphabets to match. Goodbye for now!

My Bumbo Seat

Look what I got? Mamee and Dadee got this for me 2 days ago. It's a nice feeling sitting on this chair. I'll sit in it until I'm bored. Then I'll cry for Mamee or Dadee or Atuk to carry me out. This seat helps me to sit on my own. Mamee said this is her extra pair of hands. When she cooks, I sit in my seat and she can still watch over me. Mamee wished she bought it earlier for me but it's okay Mamee, it's not too late.

My New Hobby

I recently discovered a new hobby. It happened last month and I'm loving it. I love to blow. I blow all the time but I love blowing on Mamee's teets. I don't know why. I like it. It's a nice feeling and I make Mamee laugh every single time.

Bouncy Me!

I'm a bouncing baby girl! Yup, that's me. When anyone of my family props me upright on their thighs, I start bouncing up and down. I've been bouncing since I turned 5 months. Bouncing is great exercise for my legs and will help ready myself for standing, crawling, and eventually walking. This exciting development is also a gentle reminder to Mamee and Dadee that it's a good idea to start childproofing our home now in preparation for my scooting and crawling just ahead. OK, get ready. 1-2-3.. Jump!!!

I'm Eating Now

I have started an interest in food now. They actually taste nice. My personal favorite is porridge. Mamee cooks them for me now because I don't like rice cereal. Nothing instant for me, please. Sometimes when Mamee doesn't have time, I'll just swallow away the rice cereal Mamee gives me but only a few spoonful and I'm done. I still want my milk. The best is always from Mamee. (wink, wink) Mamee is feeding me full swing now because on my last check-up, the nurse said I'm underweight. Mamee is managing me well so far.

There will be times when I hate food especially when I'm too sleepy already. Mamee won't give in to me and I had to force myself to cry so she'll stop feeding me. It works all the time.

My gifts!

Below are my Christmas gifts. I'm such a show off, aren't I? They are all given by my parents, Nenda, uncle Constan and auntie Teena. I thought of waiting for more gifts because Mamee said there's more to come. Christmas is 12 days, right? I love being a baby!

So, I got new clothes, tebby bear bag, bib, socks, a book & a learning laptop. (wink, wink)
