I Can Stand!

I surprised Mamee this weekend. I started climbing and showed her I can stand on my own! It was exciting and at first my legs were wobbly. I love the feeling. Wow, it felt great! I did loads of times and Dadee saw me too. I tried so many times and I got good at it. Now I can show off to my kakak-kakak at daycare. Mamee warned them this morning to have a lookout on me. I haven't crawled on all four yet and I have been crawling on my belly since I was 7 months. I'm so proud, though, that I can stand up. I hope I can walk soon. I've been walking on my walker and I think that helped me a lot! Hooray for me!

Yummy Sweet Potatoes

I had sweet potatoes with porridge last night. Sweet potatoes are yummy. I wonder why I haven't had this earlier. Now I can't decide which is my favorite. Pumpkin or sweet potatoes? They're both orange in colour and Mamee said she's going to give me more greens soon. I have so far tried spinach and spinach is nice too. Brocolli is next in Mamee's list. Oh, Mamee is making me chubby. I have fat thighs now and I think pretty soon my whole body will be fat. Hehehe.

Pumpkin Baby Food Recipes - Yummy Bananas & Pumpkin (6-8 months)

1/2 cup pumpkin puree

2 small bananas

Mash 2 small bananas. Add pumpkin puree. Mix thoroughly, blend if needed for baby's texture preferences. Makes a yummy addition to baby's cereal or yogurt!

Baby's Pumpkin & Pears (6-8 months)
½ cup pumpkin puree (fresh or canned)

1 pear, peeled & cored & diced

Mash the pear and then mix in the pumpkin – puree if needed.

Sweet Potato Apple Mash (4)6 months +
1. Steam or bake apples and sweet potatoes together until tender.

2. Puree as needed, adding water to thin if required.

3. You may also chop or dice for a finger food salad.

My Mamee's happy - really happy! We just got back from Likas Hospital and Doctir said no more appointments from now onwards. Hooray! I cried twice just now. I have a phobia for white beds and when they make me lie on my back, I'd cry and cry. The nurse just wanted to weigh me and check my height but I've had experiences in that little room. I had my blood taken - a lot! It scares me to death and I'm glad there'll be no more of these blood samplings. It's such a relieve and we're all so very happy. It's just going to be Mothe & Baby clinic from now to check on my growth and developments. Phew!

Back In Daycare

I'm back in daycare. It has been a week away from daycare. My Mamee is happy because she managed to do loads of her to-do list and that includes cooking wholesome baby food for me. Yup, Mamee cooked pumpkin for me and it's my ultimate favorite now. It's so yummy. I can eat it just like that. Last night Mamee blended multigrains with chicken and pumpkin on the side.

I know Mamee is overworked and when she's tired, Dadee takes over from there. Oh, Dadee was pampered too when Mamee took a long leave. She cooked wholesome dadee food for Dadee.

With Mamee around, we spent every quality time wisely. We spent most of the times at home and once in awhile we'd go out. Sometimes during our little trips out, I'd fall asleep in Dadee's arms. Of course Dadee will be the one carrying me in the baby carrier.

Oh, I wonder when's Mamee's next leave? I love being pampered 24-7. (wink, wink)

Constipated Baby

Mamee spent more time with me this week. We spent quality time since saturday. I love it when Mamee's around. It means I get to clingy all the time. At daycare I have to share clingi-ness with my little friends so I have to learn to give way for them too.

I was constipated but I'm okay now. Mamee fed me brown rice and barley. She completely stopped feeding me white rice or white potatoes for the time being until I'm fully recovered. My little poop hole hurts everytime it's poopy time but until yesterday things are looking good. My Dadee got this medicine from Dr Suzain and it's oily but I took it like a good big girl. Dadee said it's supposed to smooth my poop.

I think I have poop in my pants now. See ya!!

I Love Dinners

After the night that I had carrots and apples for dinner, Mamee made sure whatever I had it must be blended with porridge. I love anything with porridge now. It's so delicious and I'd be annoyed if Mamee takes her sweet time feeding me. Once food is down my tummy, I want the next spoonful of yummy food. I've had carrots and chicken blended with porridge the past few nights. I love them. They taste delicious! I don't mind having them every night but I think I need something new tonight. Carrots & Apples

Last night Mamee steamed and blended Carrots and Apples for my dinner. Where's the porridge, Mamee? She said Carrots and Apples are nice together. She got the recipe from the Internet. I normally have porridge/pasta for dinner but last night was something different. It tasted nice at first but after awhile, it tasted yucky. I nearly puked. Luckily as always Mamee had mineral water in hand for me. Mamee thought I was choking but I wasn't. My Mamee panics and it takes Dadee to calm her down when it comes to me. I drank loads of water after that. I was thirsty and Mamee gave me milk afterwards until I dosed off. I wonder what's for dinner tonight? Oh, Mamee said porridge with carrots and chicken!

Aidan's Birthday Party

Yesterday's Aidan's birthday. Happy birthday, Aidan!

Because of Mamee's condition, we nearly didn't go to Aidan's party. My Mamee lost her voice. She doesn't sound like Mamee but at least she smells like Mamee. I was already dressed up and Dadee said let's go to the party. Hooray!

And so we went. It was at 4pm at his grandma's house in Luyang but we came late. Dadee had to fill up on fuel. There were so many kids and I can't stop my eyes from watching what they can do. Wow, I wish I could walk and run like them. Of course there were little babies like me too. I'm sure they're thinking what I'm thinking. I was jumping and smiling away. I was laughing and gigling watching them have fun playing the games.

The cake was huge! It looked like Rambo was on the cake. Well, that's what Mamee thought. I had a taste of the cake - nice!!!

Uncle Constan part ii

Look everyone it's my Uncle Contan's pics in Birmingham. There's more actually in his facebook so look for more of his pics there. I see that Uncle Constan's having an enjoyable time there. That's Uncle Constan's friend, Uncle Chris up there. They're both in the badminton championship venue. Uncle Chris is married to a beautiful english lady and he came to visit Uncle Constan. Hehehe. I wonder if Uncle Constan has an english girlfriend already. I haven't been to the UK yet but my Mamee said she'll take me there one day so I can play with Yusuff- hooray! My Mamee and Dadee are working very hard these days. Probably so we can make an overseas trip this year. Hehehe.

Last Night

Last night I dozed off early. I was too full and sleepy. I wanted milk from Mamee and I went off to dreamland immediately. Mamee wanted to give me dinner but I passed on it. Probably I'll have dinner tonight that is, of course, if I don't doze off again. Hehehe. I coughed while sleeping and it bothered me. My Mamee is coughing too. I guess she got it from me. Poor Mamee. We both we were on Vapour Rubs last night to keep away from blocked noses.

Weekend Birthday Party

We have a weekend birthday party to attend to this sunday at 4pm. Aidan will be celebrating his 5th birthday. My that's been a lot of birthdays. I will soon celebrate my birthday too. I'll be 1 year old and Mamee's got me a present already. I haven't seen it yet but she was showing me off one day a blue paper bag.

Yesterday I got 2 dresses by Naughty Ones from Aunty Misha. It was very unexpected Mamee said. She bumped into Aunty Misha and they ended up going over to Kids Avenue and coming out with a couple of dresses for me. Lucky me! I have 2 dresses now to add to the collection of dresses that I already have. Hmmm..which will I wear to the party? Mamee, help me out here, please?

More Solids

Mamee has been so hardworking this week. Not only is she juggling her day job, she's also taking care of my well-being especially my food intake. She's worried about my health too. I've been sick. Yup, I got the flu and cough again. I must have gotten them from daycare.

Last night Mamee steamed porridge blended with spinach, carrots and chicken. Chicken is very new to me. It was nice and very green with a little orange. I just took in what Mamee fed me. I kept opening my mouth for more and that always put a smile to Mamee's face. I wonder what's for dinner tonight?

I heard Mamee telling Dadee that she's taking leave mid of the month. Right her leave is freeze due to the election going on. My Mamee works for a department considered important in the government. She wants to spend time with me and keep me away from daycare for awhile. My little friends are teething too so I guess that's why we're all passing the virus around.

I still have only my little white pearls. Mamee told me she's getting me a baby toothbrush soon. Last night after dinner, she only managed to get me a spill-free bowl. She got it for me so I can learn self feeding. No new tooth coming yet. If there are, well, Mamee will have another headache with my fever.

Separation Anxiety Part ii

Mamee can't leave me even a second. She just needed to wash her hands in the toilet but that won't stop me from crying for her. I feel lonely the moment I don't see her. That goes the same when we'r e in the living room. She'll keep me in my baby walker and let me play with my toys and she'll rush to the kitchen but that too will make me cry out loud till Atuk comes running to my attention. I love the attention he gives me actually.

Last Friday evening, I cried when Kakak gave me to Mamee. I wanted her to carry me back inside daycare. I spent 8 hours at daycare and sometimes I get confused as to who is Mamee. When I smell Mamee only then I know it's my Mamee who's carrying me.

Mamee said this a phase for me called Separation Anxiety. She said she's going to buy a doll to keep me company. If she's in the toilet, at least I'm not alone. How does this doll look like?

This is my Uncle Constan. That's me when I about a month old. He left for London yesterday. My uncle is a radio and TV broadcaster.
